Our 2025 Bible Conference was a great time to get our entire church family and friends involved in the assembly of God’s word. We had three school groups participate this year, Refine KC, Manna Fellowship Church, and Summit Christian Academy.  A  group from Harvest Baptist Church of Iola, Kansas joined us along with one business, Beyond Wealth Advisors, who came to participate. Over the three-day period we assembled 5,000 English New Testaments that will be going to our U.S. military through Operation Uplift. We also started assembling 5,000 bibles in the Ilonggo language that will be going to the Philippines through the ministry “From our Hands to Their Hands” with Bill Barker.

Our conference theme this year was “Publishing the Preserved Words of God”.  Jim Alter, pastor of Grace Baptist Church of Sidney, Ohio, spoke three nights on how God gave us our English Bible with much history. Pastor Brad Nelson from Grace Baptist Church in Lee’s Summit brought a powerful message on God’s words being pure. Brian Hedges, our Senior Pastor at HBF,  brought a great message on our role in distributing the Word of God to finish out the conference.

As usual, we had our challenges. We had delivery trucks break down, machines break down, highways shut down due to wrecks which caused getting to the church slow at times. Our power went out for a time period on a clear day. We had a man needing emergency help and an ambulance was called. He’s doing well now. But nothing stopped God’s word from being assembled. One of our praises was that a man was lead to the Lord during the week who trucked the scriptures to us due to the original truck breaking down on the way to deliver the signatures. It is amazing to see God work and move even in the difficult times.

We are currently in the process of shipping out these New Testaments and Bibles and praying that the Lord will do a mighty work in the lives of the people who receive them as well as the people here at HBF who handled hundreds of bibles in the process.
